Golf School
We now have 2 Pennsylvania golf schools: our Pittsburgh
location is hosted by the Quicksilver Golf Club in Midway, PA,
and our Harrisburg (Mechanicsburg) location is hosted by Liberty
Forge.
Golfers of all ages and abilities take 1, 2 and 3 day schools which
feature 3 1/2 hours of instruction daily. Morning class is from
9.00am to 12.30pm or afternoon class is from 1.30pm to 5.00pm. Teaching
at this location is only on weekends. You'll do one full day and
one half day to complete the 3 half day program. 1 and 2 day schools,
1 hour lessons and playing lessons are booked subject to availability.
The complete 3-day program consists of on-tee instruction including
full swing with both the woods and irons, chipping, putting, bunker
shots, and the 30 to 50 yard pitch shots. Class size is a maximum
of 4 students per instructor.
Included in the package is a program on the mental side of golf.
Developed by a leading sports psychologist, it has had very exciting
results for our students.
All instruction includes extensive video taping which is dubbed
onto a VHS tape with voice-over by your Instructor, enabling you
to review your lessons and drills when you are at home.
Please meet your instructor in the pro shop 5 minutes before the
start of school.
Liberty Forge
 Liberty
Forge's executive length of 4,200 yards promise all the challenges,
thrills, and satisfaction that made you take up the game in the
first place. The bent grass tees, fairways and greens make Liberty
Forge one of the finest 18 hole golf courses anywhere, with 10 par
4's and 8 par 3's-- 5 of them over 160 yards. Most fairways have
three tees, with Senior and Ladies tees complementing the white
tees. Water is in play on six holes, climaxed by an island on the
final hole. A birdie on 18 is only possible if you are a "Tiger"
and can carry at least 266 over water; otherwise you are in the
pond. More than 5,000 trees complete the uniqueness of this golf
course. A state of the art irrigation system assures the best playing
conditions and provides world class gardens, shrubs and trees. Prepare
yourself for a unique, 18 hole adventure that winds through the
beautiful Liberty Forge Arboretum!

An additional 9 Hole Playing Lesson can be scheduled (subject
to availability; additional charge applies).
Our three day programs produce most overall improvement to your
game and therefore take priority in reservations.
Rain Policy: Any school days missed due to weather
will be rescheduled for student in the future, subject to availability.

Deposit: 100% of total is required upon booking reservation.
 Cancellation
policy: Deposit less $50 per person administration fee is refundable
up to 30 days prior to start of school. 14 to 30 days prior to school
- loss of deposit. Less than 14 days - loss of full amount - unless
school can be filled before commencement. The Phil Ritson - Mel
Sole Golf School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions
as required by weather or unusual circumstance and is not responsible
for any loss or inconvenience incurred as a result. On such
occasions, fees are refundable or transferable to a session of your
choice on a priority basis.
